7 Most Underrated Web Series In India | What You Haven’t Seen Yet

We are sharing with you some 7 Underrated Web Series in India which you have inadvertently overlooked. We have seen all of these.

 

Web Series: You definitely heard this word a lot this year The web series is already popular in other countries. The web series had started in India too but public attention was not going towards the web series. Then due to the pandemic, the theaters were closed, people start watching web series on OTT platforms and then people start liking it. Now people say that it is more fun to watch web series than movies. We also believe that more quality content is seen in it than in films. But in our opinion like Bollywood movies, some web series are really with high content somewhere due to some big releases, the attention of people does not go towards these kinds for web series, and unfortunately, we missed them. Don’t Worry, You don’t have to research that kind of web series to watch because we did it.

We are sharing with you some is interesting & underrated web series in India which you have inadvertently overlooked. We have seen all these ourselves, That’s why we are giving our personal opinion.

1. Cubicles

Plot: In the cubicle, we see the story of a 22-year-old boy Piyush Prajapati who just completed college and started his life’s first job in a big IT company. He starts having problems from day one of his job. Even after facing so many troubles unfortunately he makes a lot of mistakes from day one. Apart from day-to-day work, he also experiences a lot of new things. Piyush begins to feel a little upset with his roommate who is also his friend, in a team he also met a girl who befriends him, also thought of leaving the job. but in the end, he learned to live with the ups and downs and his life gradually starts to normalize. also, this is our personal favorite show and we believe if you ever work in s office you will relate many things from this show. Because an employee life is shown very well in this show.

Our Opinion:  The show didn’t become as it should have. This a unique show in our opinion that you must see. You will get to see comedy, drama, friendship, love story, and the story of employee wellness and will not have to get bored while watching the show. You can watch this show with your family.

2. Paatal Lok

Plot: The story starts with the character of Hathiram Chaudhry who is an Inspector in Delhi police. He is a distrustful person because he knows the harsh reality of the system. He is not seeing any growth in his career as a police inspector. In the police department, The elder police officers do not give him any big case to investigate. Hathiram Chaudhry is a middle-class man who lives in Delhi with his wife and son he really loves his family a lot but the son does not even talk properly to him because his is son thinks that despite being a police inspector, his father is not a hero and he has no power. The turning point in his life comes when he is given a high-profile case for investigation. Initially, Hathiram finds this is to be a simple case but he finds that the case is very complex. We don’t want to spoil the suspense of the show by telling the whole story, we request you to watch the show yourself.

Our Opinion: In our view, this is a very different kind of show but we think this show deserves more recognition. But still, this is underrated web series in India, Many obscene dialogues have been used in this web series, So we would suggest you watch this show alone.

3. Chacha Vidhayak Hain Humare

Plot: This is the story of Ronny Pathak(Zakir Khan). Who is living with different kinds of life he tells his friends and the rest that his uncle is MLA but no one knows except Ronny it is a big lie. “MLA is my uncle (Chacha Vidhayak Hain Humare)” by using this line he simplifies many of his hard tasks. Avantika his friend also Ronny loves her one-sided but she considers him only as a friend. Ronny can do a lot to help her and he has done a lot of things than whether to book train tatkal(Immediate) tickets for Avantika’s family or to mess with the right-hand man of MLA. He has 2 best friends Anwar (Vyom Sharma) and Kranti (Kumar Varun) they also feel that he is really the nephew of the MLA. But another side is the real-life of Ronny which is completely opposite from that. Actually, Ronny is a guy who is not serious about his career and future nor does he do any business. He prepares for one new exam every year his father is worried about him he keeps trying to convince him for his career but Ronny avoids the matter every time. Ronny balances these two lives very well. The twist in this story comes when the real MLA comes to know that someone is taking advantage of his name by becoming his fake nephew.

Our Opinion: You should definitely watch this show once in a while because, in India, Zakir Khan is very popular. Everyone knows him people are related to him. His fans love his stand-up comedy and the different personality and the scrips of this show written by Zakir khan. We highly recommend you to watch this underrated web series, Recently have announced from Zakir Khan that the next session of this how will is also coming.

4. JL 50

Plot: Abhay Deol (Shantanu) appears in a lead role in this show. Recently an airplane crash was reported in West Bengal. Both Shantanu (Abhay) and Gaurango (Rajesh Sharma) are CBI officers who both go the West Bengal to investigate this airplane crash case. There they discover that this is another plane. During the investigation, it is known that the plane took off on 20, August 1984. and the airplane was missing for the last 35 years, All the evidence found in the plane indicates that it is time travel. But the Shantanu does not believe in this. This story takes an even more twist that you will have to watch this show completely to know.

Our Opinion: We believe that these types of show should be more made in India because today’s audience like to see such concepts. Very few people know that the JL50 was made as a film but due to lockdown it was released as a web show on the streaming platform. We feel that this film should have been released on the big screen.

Plot: The story is based on the true event of Jamtara which is the city of Jharkhand in India. It shows how the young group of Jamtara village become fake bank executives and steal all the amount from the bank account by taking debit and credit card details from common and innocent people. It is also called phishing. This is a kind of financial fraud which is carried out by some persons living in Jamtara, this fraud takes a political form the police also want to catch those criminals.

Our Opinion: This web series is based on a true story such shows are rarely seen in India. The show has an in-depth look at cyber-crime. but unfortunately, this is also underrated web series in India,  If you are bored with watching the same kind of movies then you should watch this show but don’t expect too much from this web series.

6. AfsosAfsos

Plot: Nakul (Gulshan Devaiah) who is fed up with his life feels that nobody talks to him and there is no interest in his life anymore. He just wants to kill himself but every time he fails to commit suicide. After failing to commit suicide several times, he learns about an agency (Quick Exit) that helps those who commit suicide, actually, they work to kill people by taking some charge of the amount. Nakul gives them the contract for his murder but the next day something happens in Nakul’s life that he does not want to die anymore. But Upadhyay who is a deadly shooter, if she takes a contract to kill someone then she does not like to leave her task incomplete at any cost. There are more twists in the show.

Our Opinion: In our point of view Afsos is a very entertaining show. We see such a run of the mouse and cat in which there’s a lot of twists later, But still, this is underrated web series in India. While watching this web series you will not be bored even for a minute. If you like drama, comedy shows then you must watch this series.

7. Chaman Bahaar

Plot:  In a small town Billu(Jitendra Kumar) runs a paan’s shop on the roadside. One day a beautiful girl Rinku (Ritika Badiani) comes to live in front of his shop, Who is the daughter of the commissioner. Many boys of that village follow Rinku to her house.

In front of her house, there is a huge crowd of boys, Billu’s shop also starts running well. But the Billu also begins to fail in love with that girl now he is very possessive for her. While he and Rinku have not even spoken to each other yet. Then he starts trying to impress her because of that he has to face many problems he gets in trouble because of her.

Our Opinion: Jitendra becomes very famous after the Kota Factory web series, Jitendra’s character in the Kota factory was so liked that his fans knew him by the name of Jeetu Bhaiya. It will remind you of 90’s Bollywood movies. Very few people know that Chaman Bahaar’s shooting was completed in 2017, it was Jitendra’s first film.
